On the 16th September 2014 we said happy Malaysia Day and kicked off our Taste of Malaysia food festival with a bang! The front of the Holiday Inn Perth City Centre hotel was decked from floor to ceiling with Malaysian themed decorations, unique backdrops and colourful flags. The iconic twin towers stood tall at the front of the building and the normal Seven88 Alfresco area was transformed into a unique Taste of Malaysia setting. The highlight of the event was the Warung Makan food stall with live cooking stations featuring stone cooked satay sticks and delicious ice kacang. The smoke from the  char grill satay filled Hay street with a divine smell that enlightened the noses of the people passing by.
