Holiday Inn Perth City Centre Set to Have a Modern Makeover

$12 million renovation to include updated guest rooms, public spaces and a new al fresco dining area

2 December, 2014: Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is set to have a modern makeover with plans for a $12 million dollar refurbishment. The work, which will commence early January 2015 and is set to be completed by the end of the same year, will give the hotel a completely revitalised look with planned refurbishment of the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas and food and beverage outlets.

As part of the refurbishment, all room furnishings will be upgraded to create a light, airy and contemporary feel with a high quality finish, promising to provide guests with a fresh and comfortable stay. In addition, each room will receive an en-suite upgrade which will provide a heightened guest room experience upon completion.

The new look hotel will also provide guests with fresh new food and beverage outlets and re-energised dining facilities, including a new al fresco dining area directly on the street level, helping guests to get a feel for the excitement and buzz of the city centre. The new dining area will also provide guests with a more intimate dining and lounge experience.

Exterior scaffolding will be erected in early January to facilitate the access to guest floors from the exterior of the hotel from Hay Street, while the main entry and street access to the hotel will be screened to provide easy access to the lobby and reception.

Hotel guests will experience minimal disruption during the renovation period, as work will take place Monday to Saturday between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 to ensure little disturbance. The guest room program will be completed one tower at a time, enabling the hotel to operate with little disruption to guests.

Deane Palmer, General Manager at Holiday Inn Perth City Centre, said: “The Holiday Inn brand is renowned for making guests feel comfortable by providing a familiar yet modern and fresh experience. Holiday Inn Perth City Centre has been part of Perth’s business community since the re-branding of the Town House Hotel in the late 1970s, and that’s what we will continue to deliver.

“We’re looking forward to being able to debut the hotel’s new, freshened up look next year, which will help to cement our hotel as the preferred choice for locals and visitors to Perth for many more years to come.”
