Optus Stadium is a world-class venue, hosting some of Australia’s biggest sporting games and entertainment names. Need to know how to get to Optus Stadium from Perth City? There are plenty of options available from bus, train, driving and walking. There are even special event busses and cruises for some events, including the AFL. Find out more by visiting the Optus Stadium website.

Bus or Train

On event dates Transperth will add special event busses, which are easily accessible from Perth city. These busses vary but will always be listed under the event on the Optus Stadium website, or they can be found on the Transperth website.

If you would like to catch public transport to Optus Stadium for a tour, the quickest bus route is to walk to Perth Train Station, then catch the Thornlie Line to Burswood. From Burswood you will need to walk 15 minutes to Optus Stadium along Victoria Park Road. All generic bus routes from the city to Optus Stadium involve walking.

Drive

Driving to Optus Stadium from Holiday Inn Perth City Centre will take a minimum of 15 minutes. There is limited parking availability at Burswood, which is a 5-10-minute walk from Optus Stadium. Burswood offers both free and paid parking options at various car parks.

Taxi & Uber

If you do not wish to take public transport, we recommend hailing a taxi or ordering an Uber. While rates will vary, during the off period a taxi will cost $25 and an Uber $15. These prices are likely to surge on event days.

Walk

How do I buy a ticket to a game or show?

Optus Stadium uses Ticketmaster to sell their tickets online. You can also purchase tickets from the box office (if tickets are available), however, this is only open on event days.

Can I BYO food and alcohol

Optus Stadium is a fully licensed venue. Therefore BYO is strictly prohibited. There are over 50 food and beverage outlets in the stadium to purchase your food and alcohol.

Is the stadium accessible by wheelchair?

The stadium is wheelchair accessible and has 450 wheelchair positions with flexible seating for carers and guests. You can see more of the accessibility details by visiting the Optus Stadium website. Please note there is limited ACROD parking, and you will need to preregister for a pass.

Is it true that public transport is free before an event?

Yes! Your Transperth fare is included in your event ticket! You can travel free for three hours either side of the event.

Can I take my bag in?

Yes, bags are accepted into Optus Stadium assuming they are not too large or excessive in size. Please note that bags will be thoroughly checked.

I have young children, is there a parent’s room?

There is a parent’s room on each level of the stadium with change tables, feeding rooms and toilets. We recommend asking a staff member where the closest parent’s room is in relation to your seat.

Is there first aid on site?

Yes, first aid services are available at all events.

Can I smoke in the stadium?

Cigarettes and e-cigarettes are strictly forbidden.

I’ve lost some property at Optus Stadium; can I get it back?
