For a standing canape function with great atmosphere we always recommend utilising our restaurant and bar, Ivy & Jack. Reserve an area overlooking the Hay St bustle or even book the entire venue. The interiors are a gorgeous copper with styling hints to the venue’s old life as the Town Cinema – sure to be a talking point for your guests.
If you’re in need of a more private canape area, for business more than pleasure, we invite you to hire a function room with your own personal bar and bartenders. This will ensure no distractions from other customers and create an intimate function atmosphere.
Everyone thinks function food is bland and boring – but we’re here to tell you you’re wrong! Our new Executive Chef Ramon has recently reinvigorated our canape menu into tiny works of art.
Hosting an event with outstanding food on a small budget is hard! Selecting a range of medium-priced items, with just a few trays of higher-end product will help to satisfy the Insta-worthiness of your event.
We recommend 4 canapes per person for a sun-downer style function and don’t forget to add some vegetarian options, because there will always be that one person who forgets to give you their dietary requirements.
Let’s be honest, most people are going to be excited about the free drinks. We always recommend purchasing a beverage package that includes one sparkling on arrival for your guests.
A drinks package is the most efficient method of hosting an event – we have packages from standard to deluxe.
If you’d like to make your event extra special, our bar staff are happy to create a signature cocktail to suit your function theme.
It always helps to have a little extra pop. You are more than welcome to bring any decorations or a stylist to our venue and set up to your heart’s desire. We also offer some decorations for hire which are perfect for smaller functions – enquire within.
