There is so much to do in Perth CBD this Autumn – from events that will make your inner foodie scream with delight, to live music and AFL (Perth’s favourite sport) 2019 return. We’ve put together a list of our top 10 favourites, so you can see what’s on in Perth City.
Perth Comedy Festival

Looking for a good laugh and some high-quality comedy? Perth Comedy Festival brings a line-up of the world’s biggest comedians to WA this Autumn, such as Cal Wilson and Akmal. The shows will be at a variety of venues around Perth, including the State Theatre Centre of WA and Comedy Lounge Perth City – both just a short walk from Holiday Inn Perth.

Twilight at Yagan Square – Market

Perth Makers Market is returning to Yagan Square this March for their Twilight Series. Enjoy browsing the selection of handmade and local artisan stalls underneath the fairy lights. From food, to gifts, the market has it all.

Kids Eat Free at Ivy & Jack
Ivy & Jack are open all Easter long weekend for food and drink in Perth City, and they’re letting all KIDS EAT FOR FREE! Head in to try some of their Easter themed food and drink specials as well as a visit from the Easter Bunny himself!

A Day on the Green: Bryan Adams

We’ve mentioned our love of music concerts at Kings Park before, but A Day on the Green is always one of our favourites. Sit back and relax on the grass to Bryan Adams new album Shine A Light, and hopefully some of his classics including Summer of 69 and (Everything I Do) I Do It For You.

Night Noodle Markets

Elizabeth Quay will be lighting up this April with the Night Noodle Markets sizzling Asian Hawker-style eats right at our doorstep. Just a 5 minute walk from Holiday Inn Perth, will transport you into another country with popular pop up stalls including Bangkok Street Food, What the Pho and Bao Brothers.

William Street Long Lunch

Not your average lunch, the William Street Long Lunch is mixing it up with 5 courses at 5 different venues. Every Saturday in March, the best venues in Northbridge have come together to bring you an extravagant roving lunch – and on a budget! Enjoy a drink and a dish at each venue for just $15each – so $75 total. Not convinced? Here’s a taster of what’s included; Bivouac Canteen & Bar are serving up Mistelle Mule’s and a baby eggplant sabich, amba, tahini gribiche, herb and pickle salad.

Rumpelstiltskin – Fairy Tale Cocktail Masterclass

Right behind Holiday Inn Perth hides a laneway with some of Perth’s best small bars called Wolf Lane. One of the bars, named after the street (Wolf Lane), hosts regular cocktail masterclasses where you can learn tips and tricks of the trade. Their upcoming workshop ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ is sure to be as successful as the others – teaching you how to make 2 special cocktails, while nibbling on provided snacks.

AFL Season Start

The first game of footy for 2019 kicks off at Optus Stadium on Sunday 24 March with Fremantle Dockers vs North Melbourne. Celebrate the AFL season with a game and a drink at Optus stadium, or take a look at What’s On to see when the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle Dockers are playing on home ground. Anzac Day Dawn Service

Anzac Day is one of Australia’s most important national occasions as it marks the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces. Each year we commemorate those who served and remember those lost at war with a beautiful dawn service at the State War Memorial in Kings Park. This service is attended by over 40,000 people each year, and is a truly special moment to participate in.
